Robinson Crusoe: Chapters 19 - 38
Chapter Nineteen
From January 3rd to April 14, Crusoe tells us, that he spent his time
finishing a wall around his house. When the wall is finished, and the outside
area is double-fenced, Crusoe feels secure, and that if any people were to
come on shore they would not perceive anything like a habitation. Then he
adds, "and it was very well I did so, as may be observed hereafter, upon a
very remarkable occasion."
Crusoe finds young pigeons in their tree nests, brings them to his cave,
