Robinson Crusoe: Chapters 1 - 18
Introduction
This adventurous novel is related in the first person by Robinson Crusoe,
an English mariner. There are two general divisions in the book. In the first
brief section, Crusoe describes his family and career up to the time he is
shipwrecked on a remote island. The second part of the novel, which forms
the bulk of the work, consists of a journal, or diary-like account of his
experiences during his life on the island.
