Photographs of Alice Liddell--the real-life Alice in Wonderland--taken by Lewis Carroll have gone on public display for the first time at a new gallery at Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales. The gallery has been created by the National Portrait Gallery, which with the National Photography Museum in Bradford, raised 350,000 [pounds sterling] to save the photos from export to the US in 2002.
