Lewis Carroll looms large in the history of Chicago's Lookingglass Theatre Company, according to the company's artistic director, David Catlin.

Catlin is also the adapter and director of Lookingglass Theatre's current show, "Lookingglass Alice."

The company's first production, back when they were all still students at Northwestern University in the 1980s, was a production of Andre Gregory's adaptation of Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland."
