A CENTURY and a half ago, her ancestor inspired Lewis Carroll to create Alice in Wonderland.

Now, the great- great- great niece of the original Alice will play the adventurous little girl who tumbles down a rabbit hole into a dream world.

Rachel Arksey, who is in her second year of an anatomical sciences degree at Dundee University, said yesterday she was excited to be playing the character inspired by her great-great-great aunt, Alice Liddell, so long ago.
