Theatre X adapts a Carroll poem

Sunday, September 22, 2002

Theatre X opens its 2002-'03 season Thursday with "The Hunting of the Snark," Kurt Hartwig's adaptation of Lewis Carroll's narrative poem that blends his characteristic nonsensical wordplay with a few touches of menace.

Hartwig has adapted, designed and is directing the show, which features four actors and eight big valises full of props. The show opens 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Broadway Theatre Center, 158 N. Broadway. It runs through Oct. 20. Tickets are $22 to $25. Call (414) 291-7800.
