SINSINAWA, Wis. - When the Main Street Players play committee chose to do "Looking Glass Land," they envisioned a mixed cast of adults and kids.

But when they asked Phil Jackman to direct, he envisioned all kids.

"They said OK," the Galena, Ill., attorney said. The upshot is a cast of 42 kids, ranging in ages from 6 to 16.

Many are first-timers on the stage, including Clara Berning, 9, of Cuba City, Wis., who plays Alice.

The play opens April 16 and runs for two weekends at the Sinsinawa Mound Theater. Dinner will be available at two performances; reservations are required.
