"THE Complete Works of Lewis Carroll was given to me in Form One by my dorm-mate Ghaffar Ramli, who went on to become a nuclear physicist and now works somewhere I can't tell you. I'm not sure what Lewis Carroll did for him but for me, the enchanting surrealism of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass re- defined the meaning of imagination, the use of language, story- telling, illustration, layout, and chess.
