A HOUSE which helped shape the life of one of Yorkshire's most famous literary daughters is up for sale, because its TV star owner is moving to France.
Brookroyd House, in Birstall, West Yorkshire, was once home to Charlotte Bronte's best friend, Ellen Nussey, and Charlotte spent much time there.
The double-fronted house, built in 1780, has been restored by writer and actor Tony Bennett-Pitts, who is now selling.
Mr Bennett-Pitts played Archie Brook in Emmerdale for 11 years, until his character died in a plane crash. He is now a writing partner for comedian Johnny Vegas.
