HAYWARD -- Music teacher Robin Moyle was squirming like a little kid on Christmas morning when Mayor Roberta Cooper handed her a shiny new tenor saxophone at City Hall on Wednesday night.
Moyle has directed the Bret Harte Middle School music program for nine years, and has worked in the district for 16 years.
She said she can't remember the last time anyone bought a new instrument for her students.
"I couldn't tell you how long it's been. It's been a very, very long time," Moyle said. "I've raised money on my own for instruments from candy sales and stuff like that."
