Libraries to host open houses

LONG BEACH - Residents are invited to four open houses at neighborhood libraries to help celebrate the final phase of restored library hours. Six libraries are opening one or two additional days a week in mid-April.

Two of the libraries (Main Library and Bret Harte) celebrated when the two previous phases of restored library hours occurred in October 2006 and February 2007. The main library downtown will be closed Sunday.

The following four neighborhood libraries will host open houses with refreshments and special activities:
