Libraries to extend opening hours

LONG BEACH - Six more libraries will extend their hours starting Saturday in the last round of restoring services that were slashed years ago because of the city's budget shortfalls.

In addition to the Main Library, which will be open daily, Bach, Bay Shore, El Dorado, Bret Harte, and Los Altos libraries will add one to two days a week for a total of five to six days of operation a week. The final phase brings library services back to their 2003 levels.
