chrome yellow
A lead chromate pigment (as well as the title of a novel by Aldous Huxley), which unfortunately has produced adverse results since it was introduced in the early 19th century. Also produced in other shades such as chrome orange and chrome red, chrome yellow turns brown on contact with sulphur in the atmosphere, reacts with other pigments, and may turn green on exposure to sunlight.Read the rest of this article with a Free Trial at HighBeam Research.
