DAVID SUCHET, long established as Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot, has recently been drawn to more expansive characters: Anthony Trollope's Melmotte and, just the other day, Robert Maxwell.
In Chichester last night this compelling performer unveiled a role which demands some of Poirot's interrogation skills yet also requires a swagger.
