Thrillers continue to prove popular viewing on television, but they seem to have lost ground as far as theatre audiences are concerned.
In those West End theatres which aren't hosting musicals, there's still Agatha Christie with The Mousetrap, and The Woman In Black. But the first has now been there for 59 years and the second is still attracting audiences after 19 years. They seem to have a self- perpetuating DNA.
