Classic crime capers have been caricatured into cartoons as part of this week's bumper festival dedicated to the life and works of Agatha Christie.

The first lady of crime has got surprisingly graphic in a series of books available from the English Riviera Agatha Christie Shop on Torquay's Palk Street.

The five novels currently available add a new visual depth to her most popular mysteries and look set to be enjoyed by both young and more mature readers alike.

Thousands of Christie fans are set to visit the English Riviera for the Agatha Christie Festival, which began yesterday.
