The grave of Bay crime writer Agatha Christie is in a 'dreadful' state, according to a Bay pensioner.

Jill Williams, who has lived in Brixham for 42 years, was visiting her daughter in Oxford and decided to find the grave of the famous writer which is situated in Cholsey. But she was stunned at what she found.

The Bay resident, who is a big Christie fan, says the grave stone is lopsided and nearly impossible to read.

Dame Agatha was born in Torquay and died in1976 at her then home at Cholsey, near Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
