As the birthplace of the legendary crimewriter Agatha Christie, Torquay is set to host an exciting programme of themed activities this month dedicated to Christie heritage.

Young Agatha's beginnings can be traced back to All Saints Church in Bampfylde Road, Torre, where she was baptised as the church will be open to visitors all week and a murder mystery ball will be held at the Grand Hotel where the author spent her honeymoon.

There will also be talks by crime writers and creative writing workshops as well as an outdoor screening of Death on the Nile, starring Peter Ustinov, at Oldway ...
