A new chapter in Torbay's world reputation was written yesterday, aiming to further increase links with Agatha Christie's name.
Some of the Bay's top hoteliers met with the Queen of Crime's grandson, Mathew Pritchard, to discuss ways of developing business opportunities and promoting the fact that she was born in Torquay.
The meeting at the Orestone Hotel, Maidencombe, came after hoteliers' had expressed their frustration about the lack of publicity linking the world's best-read crime novelist with the Bay.
