Black Beauty is a tender tale filled with life lessons and brimming with warm memories and experiences from a horses' point of view. It will touch your heart with its many fine moments as well as suspenseful situations. A fine tale that shows the cruelty some humans can inflict on animals, as well as the kindness and generosity we would all strive to achieve. An enduring classic loved by anyone who loves animals.--Submitted by Virginia G. Wimmer.

Black Beauty

Black Beauty was the first book that I actually read, before that it was comics and such or what was given by my school. I was 10 at the time and bought the book second hand out of a whim. But once I started reading I was totally enthralled. I was amazed at how you were looking at the world through the eyes of a horse. I think it was here that I started to enjoy reading. Some books I read over and over again but for whatever reason I've never read it since and that was over forty years ago, perhaps it's time to get a copy and relive a little of my childhood!

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell

Hi!! I was wondering whether the Literature Network could put up an online or PDF copy of "Black Beauty" by Anna Sewell. I like the story very much and I believe that the book is no longer copyrighted. Thank you very much!!
