    Christmas tunes:

“Ave Maria” adapted to a Franz Schubert composition.
My mother would play this on the piano at Christmas time:

Each year we are obliged to watch and listen as my brother in law attempts to sing the following, while dancing the Fezziwig:

Some great tunes posted. I really like this Bert Jansch version of

    In the Bleak Midwinter.

I only found out last week that it's from a poem by Christina Rosetti:

Superb. It has a nice contrasting mournfulness about it.

I'm not really bothered with Christmas, but last year somebody posted this song from Frank Sinatra. So you can forget your long haired or shaven haired oiks and listen to the diction, phrasing and projection of a REAL singer, rather than a grotesque publicity created alternative. I would add that I'm not a particular fan of Frank Sinatra but I can tell the difference between talent and trash.

The only Christmas song I will ever need, that sums up my feelings about this magical time of year...

"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche

It played in the credits of a movie I liked, Mixed Nuts with Steve Martin and Adam Sandler.
