Kyriakos: Are you designing a game or just like to work with pixels? I love pixel arts!

Haha, thanks, I think it's the best line work I have done so far digitally. You can be as good as you want, the thing is just to keep practicing and learning. xP

yes! I will...working with it is a challenge, but still always fun. And working with a laptop instead of a mouse is even harder! But I'm gradually getting better...now if I could stop making them look so tense!

    Hi Nyu001

This is not pixel art, although it looks like it. They were modelled with Bryce, a 3d modeller.

And i like your drawing a lot.

    Thanks.

How long take you to model a structure? (Without painting).

Depends on the polygon count. The most complicated ones i made in this series are the Byzantine, and those took me around 2 hours for each give or take.
But ussually i just make a model in half an hour. But i have been using Bryce for 3 years, and am quite familiar with it by now
Texturing them doesnt take any extra time, since i already have applied the texture before sculpting the model.

The following work was introduced in a separate Thanksgiving well wishes thread accompanied by a droll storyline, a smattering of links, a Hooters image, a Ben Franklin quote and a wonderful piece by Antonin Dvořák.
I wanted to take this opportunity to share the painting on its own merit minus the superfluous baggage of nonsense. I have also included a little on the process and materials/ tools used to create Ben and Franklin.

The saga of Ben and Franklin began last year with a simple graphite and charcoal sketch. Ben and Franklin represent the anthropomorphic embodiment of Tony Randall and Jack Klugman from the “Odd Couple” American TV show.

Following is a work in progress photo.
Much of the graphite layout sketch is visible. I used a relatively hard “3H” lead.
The initial foundation washes have been established on the walls, floor and shelves along with the beginnings of random detail work.

    A few enlarged details:

Photo showing Arches watercolor paper, color test strip, brushes, mixing tile, mixing tray, 3H and 6B pencils and a stump.
Brushes used: Sable or sable / synthetic blends manufactured by Grumbacher, Loew-Cornell, Liquitex.

My Grandfather’s fishing tackle box used to carry watercolor paraphernalia and brushes:
