Today is Canadian Thanksgiving; next month comes American Thanksgiving. Regardless of the time of year, I can improve my mood by counting my blessings. I invite others to do the same, at least during the weeks between the two holidays.
So, what are you thankful for? It can be anything, small or large, profound or funny.
I'll start off.
I'm thankful for John Milton. I find Milton's poetry comforting. I was about to wallow in self-pity yesterday (in public!) but was saved by reading Milton. It has to do with the slightly impersonal flavor and the fact that while the poetry can be riveting, it also requires thought.

Thanks for the correction. I asked my mom when American Thanksgiving was and she said something about the 25th, and I automatically thought October like the Canuck one.
