    Autobiography/ biography
"He is asleep. Though his mettle was sorely tried,
He lived, and when he lost his angel, died.
It happened calmly, on its own,
The way the night comes when day is done."

Fantasy. If that is too broad, then high/epic fantasy.

A fair old spread of genres. Not sure I've read any campus novels - though I may have and not known it. Same with Bildungsroman. Is that a medical genre - post colon-ial?

Haha, post-colonial literature is a broad category of literature written in response to colonial legacies in former colonies. The boundaries of the category are kind of shaky though.

I think "campus novels" are simply novels that are set on a school campus.

Is that a US version of our public school novels like Tom Brown's schooldays or Just William, or even later Harry P?

    I jest...

Since we have only 14 nominations so far, let's nominate one more genre each (to make the voting more interesting).

I will nominate "family saga" as well the "campus novel".

Since I almost picked this one for my first choice, I am going to say Gothic Novel as myse 2nd nomination.

Hmm, OK, I'm going to nominate a subgenre of sci-fi: Steampunk.

I nearly nominated erotica, but I resisted the urge.
