So many good choices. It is really difficult to choose one and leave the other. Is "A Whisper in the Dark" by Louisa May Alcott available online?

I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man's. ~ William Blake
Captivity is consciousness,
So's liberty. ~ Emily Dickinson
The only think I've read by Louisa May Alcott is Little Women, well I did read part of Jo's Boys, or something like that, I can't remember, it's been a long time.
The Overcoat is one of the classics and a must read for students of the short story.![]()

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before. ~ Edgar Allan Poe
Thanks a lot Dark Muse! You have made my work easier. Now I have to choose any two out of the three stories I've already selected. ... I think The Overcoat is one of them.

Looks like we'll be reading the Overcoat.... but what if we have a tie? Create a new poll with just those two options?
When does the voting end?
I'd rather have questions that I can't answer than answers that I can't question.

I don't know about a tie, perhaps the one that reached the voting number first or a coin toss.
We are voting for two stories; one to discuss the first half of September and one to discuss the second half.
If I am mistaken, please correct me someone.
I'd rather have questions that I can't answer than answers that I can't question.
No you are right LMK... the voting ends at the end of the month, and it looks like there is no longer a tie. So as it stands, Overcoat the first half and Araby the second..... 6 more days....
Alright less than 24 hours to go... looks like Overcoat and then Araby
Someone have a link for Overcoat?
Ok poll's officially closed. Overcoat for the first half... Araby for the second.
I'm just going to read the Marquise of O
