I would have to say that #1 is the truth.
I would have to say that #1 is the truth.
I am the music floating free, I am the puppet trapped in the box... I am the cascades flowing tranquilly, I am the lava bursting from the mouth of the volcano... I am the rose blooming in a winter storm, I am the frost-bite on your finger in June... I am knowledge, I am ignorance... I am full of likenesses, I am full of contradictions.

I'll say #4 - you like sweets, but couldn't live on just them...
~ I cannot stand people who are not serious about food. It is so shallow of them. (Oscar Wilde)~
You got it. Parrots scare the bejezus out of me. I also can't be in a gym full of people playing with basketballs.
I actually just straight-up hate sweets. I like maybe one bite of chocolate, and then anything after that makes me feel sick.
as for #3, it is a concern but I'm not too worried.

I kept looking, forcing myself not to blink, and then the brightness began to dissolve. My pupils shrunk to pinholes and everything came into focus and for a moment I understood. The doctors didn't know if my eyes would ever heal."

Just realised I thought it was a lie - but this is "Spot the Truth"![]()

I actually got it because I had a seagull come at my head once, and figured it would probably be the same with a parrot. I've also been hit on the head with a basketball, so I'm not too fond of them either.
Here go my 4 lies and 1 truth:
1. I teach high school biology.
2. My favorite hobby is gardening.
3. I've never travelled out of the state.
4. I used to play the piano and basketball with frequency when I was younger.
5. I'm a neat freak.

I pick number 4
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its' own reason for existing." ~ Albert Einstein
"Remember, no matter where you go, there you are." Buckaroo Bonzai "Some people say I done alright for a girl." Melanie Safka
I'll say #1 because I want that one to be true. It'd be nice to have a highschool biology teacher on the Forum![]()

I'll go with five.
Some of us laugh
Some of us cry
Some of us smoke
Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

I'll have to say #5 - just because it's crazy enough to be true![]()

I'll go with 3, it is far from impossible
Some of us laugh
Some of us cry
Some of us smoke
Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...
I say, #1 - it sounds like a fun and exhilarating hobby.

Pendragon is correct. I was a teenager and what I really wanted was to go back in time. I thought if I sat very, very still and concentrated, maybe with the force of my mind I could make it happen. After sitting still for a very long while I realized that I was looking, from a place near the ceiling, at myself sitting in the chair. The sensation only lasted for a short time and I have not tried to replicate it, but neither have I forgotten it.
I only wish I was fluent in Spanish. I can read a fair amount of elementary Spanish, however. And I can curse in it if necessary.
I do not kayak. I do go on long, leisurely walks, however.
I have never had a day named after me, but my mother did. She was the curator of a historical mansion in our town and did it for a number of years. When she retired they had a day in her honor.
I like Emily Bronte, but she's not a favorite.
