    Who? When? Where? 1,000,000th post!

Approaching this auspicious milestone, we should do two things:

    Guess when it will happen.

    Organise a party!

(I will take care of the latter, with help from parker of The Blokes' Club!)
Go to work, get married, have some kids, pay your taxes, pay your bills, watch your tv, follow fashion, act normal, obey the law and repeat after me: "I am free."

Am I missing something or is it not 90,000 post away almost. That's likely to take around 6 months.

Look, Pip, if you and I chuck in around a hundred a day each, there's bound to be those who respond either to have a good laugh, or get all up tight, we'll crack 90K in no time. I estimate about next Thursday. Get controversial!!

    Dear Pip,

You need to understand that when you are over 40, 6 months feel like couple of weeks... And when you are over 50, it feels like couple of days!

Which is why we can get so excited over things like this (it might have something to do with the fact that there isn't much else exciting going on in our lives either).

PS: How are you doing, by the way? Healing well?

Scher, can you explain why, when you gt over 50, 6 months feels like a couple of days, yet sometimes an hour in the doctor's waiting room feels like a whole month - especially when you know he's going to tell you "You can expect this at your age".

I'm not looking forward to those days. I've been aging much too quickly as it is.

Not bad, the wire is being cut Wednesday morning, then I have physiotherapy and a final x-ray to do, all in all I should be free to binge on fast food by noon.

I am afraid I cannot... Not there myself yet!

Oh, it will be fun... I have already ordered my Zimmer frame and walking stick. And think of all the discount that will be available!

Is that all? I hadn't even bothered counting, but a six-month countdown (or is it a countup?) sounds good.

    Nailed.

    On both counts!

Yes, I can. Despite time passing faster, one's patience becomes less tolerant.

What time is left is too precious to waste waiting for someone! Especially doctors.

I'm sure there's a worldwide medical conspiracy to raise blood pressures by making people wait for appointments! Big pharma for sure.

Pharma? Is that defined as "What goes around, stays in Doctors' waiting rooms, until you get it"?

Leave big pharma alone, I get all sorts of perks from them at work. Pfizer provides me 6 months supply of flea medication every year for free, that saves me like 300 dollars a year. Also, for a little while Novartis used to send us jelly beans. Although, it may not be sensible to eat something sent to you by a drug company just because it's labeled as candy.

Yes, that's another joy of doctors' waiting rooms. If you haven't got it, you damned well will do by the time you leave!

    Proof!

At last, hard evidence of the bribery, trickery and dirty tactics. The homeopaths will be quoting you for the millenium!
