I first saw Johnny Rotten when I was fourteen. Since that age, my taste in almost everything has changed dramatically. The Sex Pistols became Sarah Slean, Abbie Hoffmann became Alan Moore... and yet, despite what would appear to be profound differences to the very core of my being, still every time I watch an old interview in which Johnny Rotten looks someone square in the eye and tells them to "drop dead" with heartfelt conviction as though he honestly believed that saying it could make it happen, some id-driven part of me wants nothing more than to lick every square inch of his body.
