Hi Revolte, Yup, it seems to have the Hawkman stamp on it so I guess I did write it Glad you liked it as I hoped you would. As for the nosey cat, well he comes and goes. I imagined him as a black cat but there are times when I think he might be pink and stalking Inspector Clouseau when not hanging out with Henry Mancini.) I guess if you want to meet him you should lurk on street corners at dead of night, appropriately equipped to dispatch any passing princes. Stay loose comrade!

Hi jersea, and thanks Glad you liked it.

Hi, Dafydd, I never thought you meant it any other way

Another beautiful piece from you, Hawk! Lovely wording and pacing!

Definitely reminds me of Poe's 'The Raven''. Lines like 'It perched atop a dustbin lid' really brought me back to it.

    Fantastic work!

Thanks demonic, I'm glad you enjoyed it but as I remember it, the Raven, "Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door-"

Not too many mentions of cats, Princes, anarchists or dustbins as I recall

    Best, H

Very good delivery...just as I would have expected from you! But shame on the anarchist for not listening to the cat....Much likes a Cheshire Cat that knows all. After all cats have many lives to learn in!

    Kudos my friend!

Thanks kittypaws, glad you liked it. You are quite right about cats, they are all-knowing, wise beyond imagining and both sacred and divine. Never mess with a cat or you'll have bad karma for eternity!

    Live and be well
