    It isn't.

I think we need a new type of font on this Forum: "Sarcastic font".

I have actually designed a font for use exclusively in on-line forums - it's called Ironic Sans Smiley.

I don't have any answer for you. It's like they shut their brain off though and cannot understand anything. If you say you think there is more to life than their beliefs they call you a radical, a fanatical.

Some good reasons for "belief"? Everything has a source. It is not illogical to believe that there's a source.

A good reason to believe in divinity? Look at our evolution - what we've evolved into from the apes. If you could go back before humans existed, and told an ape, there would one day be a creature that would cross the oceans, fly to other planets, create civilizations, and build a society ruled by laws based on reason - and then further say that the creature would evolve from the ape - would the ape be able to comprehend it? Surely not.

A divine being in relation to us is quite similar. And yet people scoff and say that divinity or spirituality is against logic. They try to frame the argument to say that whatever anyone says spiriutally is wrong, bad, illogical, fake. And they scoff and use sarcasm, but they don't understand these simple ideas.

If you look at the (too) many discussion threads in existence in the Religious Texts section of the Forum, you will see that both sides go extreme lengths to explain their stands and make their points.

Of course, at times, there are occassions when humour, sarcasm and/or insults are employed but I could not bring myself to blame it on one particular belief (regardless of my own beliefs and opinions on religious issues).

I do not mind joking a little in this thread as it is not actually arguing a particular point or striving to prove anything.
Fair enough - just an observation regarding not very much.

....I mean, come on. The self-righteousness practically drips off the screen and glues up the keyboard.

Me, I think that sarcasm is a perfectly legitimate response to an accusation that I don't understand.

Mhmm, as someone who is frequently sarcastic and often unable to express herself in any other way, I get where you're coming from. I finally found a way to be sarcastic on the internet - provide a disclaimer. Before your sarcastic post, write something along the lines of: "Attention: please read the following in a sarcastic tone of voice." Problem solved.
