    Very wise.

All form says we should lose badly to a Paraguay that is playing well, and surely, our amateurs can't keep up their incredible run...

One player who will be running is Ryan Nelsen, who has had a stomach virus yesterday and today. Given how contagious those things are, the likelihood of others copping a dose is high.

Nobody's mentioned the 1995 rugby world cup.

    Yet.

    ok, todays bets:

Italy to win 50 (italy have cost me 120 coins so far but surely they wont mess up again?)
Paraguay to win 50 (NZ rollercoaster ends here at some point talent is required and today is that point)
Holland to win 60 (so much fun watching Le Guen fail)
Denmark/Japan draw 10 (cant see much between these 2)
There once was a scotsman named Drew
Who put too much wine in his stew
    He felt a bit drunk
    And fell off his bunk
And landed smack into his shoe

Where was that great Italian defense? No where. They were out hustled all game long. And why was Pirlo not playing from the beginning? What a disgrace. Italy deserverd to be kicked out. The easiest group and they couldn't pass to the elimnation round. DISGRACE!

Italy were a farce and they deserve to get kicked out!

I have to say fair play to NZ. They showed they have worth. Its a shame they didnt make it to the next round.

Can i change mine to 50 on Holland from 20???

10 of the 15 went down with a bug 48 hours before the final. It's a hot topic over here even now as some believe it was deliberate food poisoning because RSA were so desperate to win.

I see Ryan Nelsen reckons he was only playing at 40% and he's our best player by a country mile, being the only premier division player in the side, but I don't know that having him at 100% would have made much difference.

I think they went in with the wrong game plan, being too defence oriented. The thing we needed was to score goals, not to stop Paraguay, but they'll live & learn.

Portugal vs Brazil - 10 on Brazil

Chile vs Spain - 5 on a draw

Switzerland vs Honduras - 5 on a draw

Could Spain be the next "Big European" team to be eliminated?

The Portugal Brazil match should be a cracker, two top in form teams there.
