Hmmm, yes, you're quite right. A natural, inborn human paranoia, which leads me to believe that the best thing I can do is avoid this particular thread like the plague, and if anybody has got a complaint, I can probably remain ignorant. What makes it worse is that humour is entirely subjective - what one person thinks is hysterical, the next loathes, and the same material can have them rolling in the aisles one night, and sitting there in stony silence the next. Indeed, the same person sometimes finds something a pain in the proverbial on Monday, and laughs like a drain on Tuesday. You can't win, I should have learned that by now!
