I don't know what's going on with the betting on this thread, I haven't really taken much notice, but I have Slovenia in the sweepstake at work........Wooohoooo I thought they were rubbish, but they could be the winners of the group.

I'm going all in again, predicting a dramatic and convincing draw between Cameroon and Japan.

No, no. I like football (soccer as we call it) but I really only follow the World Cup. There's so much sports in the US that I get overwhelmed as it is.

Hey I had a great day yesterday: three for three correct!!

    10 doshes on Italy.

I hate this cautious approach, but needs must while I recoup my disasterous losses.

That's been a remarkable match yesterday, and I won my Eliots back

    Today:

Netherlands vs Denmark -- Draw, 5 Gaskells

I have been over-cautious when I am sure of a good result, not today:

    60 on Holland
    15 on a cameroon/japan draw
    60 on Italy

I was hoping they would ban them from the start as well...they are just way too loud and distracting (sounds like a hive of angry bees to me). Worst of all they can actually harm your hearing. In my opinion vuvuzelas completely ruin the atmosphere too.

As for it being African heritage, well, that's bull. As far as I know it only became popular in the nineties or there abouts. So the vuvuzela is not to African heritage what curries are to Indian heritage for example...honestly... I watched a rugby game (on t.v.), held at one of the new stadiums right before the world cup started, and it was horrible. I felt sorry for the players, and you could hardly hear the commentators. The ref wanted to talk to the t.v. ref about a try, but he couldn't hear a thing over the noise. So I hope they ban it...and I don't feel like a traitor for saying it either

    So...
    Netherlands win - 10 muntstukke
    Cameroon win - 5 muntstukke
    Italy win - 5 muntstukke

Draw is a wishful thinking more than anything else, I guess, by the look of the bets but I am not sure if write Denmark off so easily either.

AND can't even watch the match!
