It has begun. SA look handy, but Mexico are threatening a lot more. They've just had a goal disallowed.

The horns they've been selling make a right racket.

    Whoohoooo!!!

A good start (we have already got two yellow cards) and SA is playing better than I expected...

    Go SA!

Well SA lead with 15 mins to go, look good to hang on. Mark your Gogols look in threat.

Yes the horns are annoying, though they are a bit like the washing machine, you forget them after a while...

GOAL to Mexico!!! See, I thought the draw looked good...all to play for though.

You mean in cases of draws?

Not unless it is a final or an elimination game.

These are group games; the teams with the highest scores will go to the next round.

Placing any bets for the Uru-Fra game, Papaya?

(Not to mention the Eng-USA game tomorrow)

Wait! Highest Score? So Mex and SA both have 1?

Yes, both teams get 1 in case of a draw.

You need to predict the outcome of the game (one of the teams or a draw) and say how many coins you are betting on that outcome. Like 10 on France win.

    As of now:

    Scher: 102

    Paul : 97

    Mark: 30

    Virgil: 104

    Bill: Out!

    Pren: 50

    Turquoise: 80

    Neely: 90

Taking the bets for the Uruguay - France game now:

    Neely: Draw (3)

    Scher: France (5)

    Lulim: France (5)

    Pren: France (20)

57 coins on Uru to win

43 coins on USA to win

(Do I start out with a certain number of coins?)

Thanks, Neely! I'm tempted (I almost started asking around, actually), but I'm not gonna be able to watch many games, know very little about the teams, and trying to work in some loans would make it even more complicated (what if someone offered 40% commission?)--I doubt it'd be approved. If I can't count on Mexico beating South Africa, then I'm just gonna be way behind on this whole thing.
