No, an IUD goes elsewhere. Where is elsewhere, you may ask? Well... elsewhere. If you don't know where I'm implying elsewhere to be, your doctor can tell you in some detail.

Ah! I think i know what you are on about. Its the coil.
I had the implanton and it totally screwed me up. I had to get it out after a few months because my emotions went extreme. I had a history of depression and the clinic didnt realise it would effect me like that. lost my libido also. tehy took it out and then gave me a few months breathing space before putting me on microlite but i never really got out of it until i stopped taking the pill when i broke up with my ex almost two years ago. Back on the pill since september and all is well!

If that does help you should get checked for more pressing conditions. I waited 2 years thinking it was normal until it got to where I couldnt move. turns out I have indmetreosis and ovarian cancer, and those are all symptoms. Deffinitly need to talk to a gyno.
    just my two cents.

EEK! Do you mean Endometriosis? Steph that's terrible! I'm so sorry to hear that. Yes, I've been thinking for a while that it's time for some extra measures. I should see if the doc thinks it's gyno time.

That would be nice, except that I get no warning whatsoever and I'm pretty much immune to the effects of Tyloenol under any circumstances (I had a lot of ear infections as a child).

But in saying that, i had really bad periods for about eight years from the time it first started, changing towels every hour to two hours and unable to move with pain and when i went on the contraceptive pill it lightened my flow and nearly all the pain went away. It was such a relief! Maybe you could consider this?
Sigh. No. I haven't had any of the maintenance stuff done. I really should. See, I know going on the pill will most likely make it all go away haha. But really, the pill seriously screws up your natural biological functioning and I just feel like doing that right now is a little unnecessary.

Ugh, yeah, I've tried that. I've tried heat, exercise, curling up in a ball wanting to die (lol?) Tylenol, Advil, Mydol. My doc just wants to see if the anti-inflammatories work and since they're not, it's time for a return trip.

I know what you mean. I took myself off it while i was single. But i could see the difference. However, i have no intention of taking it after i'm thirty. Long term use isnt good.

Well, I am not looking forward to reading this thread these days, truth be told.

I like you guys and I like the "girly talk" but recently, when I read your posts around the Forum, I am beginning to find myself wondering, "Is she using a tampon or winged or patterned or plain one at the moment?" or "Hopefully she remembered to take her pills today."

All this starting to border TMI for my liking so maybe I won't be reading this thread for a while... Or maybe we should have a social group called, "Period Time"

Hey, I had to sit through you guys talking about handbags and vaccuum cleaners.

Papaya, if I were still reading this thread, I would reply by saying:

"And we could call it 'Periodic Table'."

    But I am not!
