The rock gym closest to me costs about $50 for a three month membership, which (when considering that a normal gym costs around $20-50 a month) isn't bad, especially since most usually have a small cardio and weights area as well. If you rent shoes and a harness, it costs a little more, but it's still a pretty good deal.
Bouldering is like rock climbing, but not really: the idea is that you have a much shorter (~15 ft?) wall and don't use a harness, but it's all about dynamic movements to get you up the wall a certain way. So, for example, a bouldering wall may have many holds on it in a certain area, but to get to the top, you have to only use 10 or so marked holds on a specific route to get up. It's very challenging. I'm not very good at it...on the scale of difficulty, which ranges from V0 to V16, I can do V1 at most, on a good day.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it's not.

Strange question for you all but is it possible to get a form of mild concussion spread out over a few days? I had an unfortunate impact (well my head did) with a glass door on Monday night. Yesterday my head was hurting and i felt a bit sick and today i feel dizzy and lightheaded... with the headache and nausea. I've never had concussion before some i'm just wsondering. I feel a bit dopey too. forgetting what words i'm trying to say.

I normally have a tender stomach, but things have been really bad over the past 5-6 months. I've had so many bouts stomach upset that I've lost close to 10 pounds (not that the weight loss isn't good and all). Now it is almost to the point that I can drink nothing but water (again not too bad), but I am missing my morning cup of coffee or I regret it when I just drink it anyway I regret it. I can't eat fast food (Chipotle excluded), I can't eat fatty meats, and any sort of a processed food like TV dinners or instant noodles will cause me pain.

Any ideas what could be wrong, or maybe even better are there any ideas of a diet that I can eat to keep it from getting any worse? I don't really mind that I can't have fast food or that I need to eat lean protein. This is pretty much a normal diet for me since I prefer to eat healthy. I do mind that it is getting to where I am steadily dropping weight because of a lack of appetite. I don't know what could be causing it. I originally thought it was a preservative in the foods that I bought out or the volume of grease, but it just seems to keep getting worse.

I know some people have IBS and need to eat special diet for that to keep it controlled. I guess I'm hoping for something like that. I love food, and it is killing me that I can't hardly enjoy little things like a good steak dinner

mk - you would be the first to tell other forum members to go to the doctor! Please do go and see your physician - it may be nothing, it may be a little something that a course of medication will sort out, it may be something that requires further investigation and some life-style changes. You can't second-guess, go and see the professionals and set your mind at rest. (I had something with similar symptoms a few years ago - no, I'm not going to tell you the diagnosis but I will tell you a short course of medication, a change of diet and some emergency stand-by pills keeps the condition under control so that I am hardly aware of it now.)

Oh, and don't worry - if it's stress related, worry is the last thing you need! Good Luck, we're all behind you.

Meg i have ibs and it does sound awefully like it. Do you ever get such a bad cramp after eating something that you have to curl up because you just cant move?
Best thing is to go to see a doc and talk to them. they should sent you for an Endoscopy and a colonoscopy to out rule anything else. If it is IBS then i can give you some advise food wise.
Unfortunately one is to stay off coffee or maybe even find a decaf thats nice an only have it after you have eaten something.

Only some days, and for the most part I've ruled out everything I can't eat. I just hate to go through all the testing and such when I have things under control 80% of the time. That other 20% is just miserable though. I'll think about the doctor, I really will. All I can say is stupid genetics. I swear I was healthy as a horse when I was a kid, and now it feels like I'm always broke. Isn't 25 a little young to worry about that

you should probably go to the doctor. I went for stomach issues though mine were not as severe as yours (annoying - interrupted my job - seemed to be brought on by stress but not as painful it sounds like)... For me it was just constantly having a mild stomach ache all the time. Had heartburn too. tried to keep going wiht my activities but I think the psychological part of it was worse than anything. I had to have some tests done...they didn't find anything except for some inflammation in my esophogus to be controlled with prevacid and I have to take a probiotic everyday to manage the other end of the tube so to speak and I've discovered that if I eat natural foods I am not miserable. If I eat crap, I have crappy crappy symptoms. So, to sum up, I just have IBS and a hospital bill that I am paying on for all the tests when I could have just tried the diet and priobiotic thing to see if it improved. but I suppose they wanted to rule out any cancers so they put me under and shoved some tubes in. Oh and I had to lie in a machine for an hour and not move while some chemically treated oatmeal passed through my system...

but what you describe sounds worse. So I would go to the doctor i guess. good luck.

The worst part of this I think might be that the food that doesn't contain all the chemcials and processing is more expensive. There is no convenience anymore. everything has to be planned.

I guess this is the place to post this... it's the first day of my period and I think I'm going to die.
