I'm not a movie person, so I'm certainly the wrong person to ask. I have not seen very many Bruce Willis movies. I have always found him to be very likable but not an overwhelmingly great actor. His persona gives off the right mix of a brassy headstrong man with inherent weaknesses and vulnerabilities. I really liked him in Pulp Fiction.

I love Bruce! One of my favorite movies is "Die Hard," and another one I love to catch on TV is "The Last Boy Scout." Yeah, Bruce! Such magnificent insouciance!

I agree with both of you, Virgil and Qimi. I think he does a good job in the roles he picks. I cannot imagine anyone else in "Die Hard" movies; "Hudson Hawk" was a lot of fun. However, he also did a good job in "The Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable" which were different his usual style.

He seems like he is having fun on the screen and I have fun watching him, no doubt.

Oh wow, ummm kind of a fan here ( not really of him so much as of the films he ends up in) lets see LOVE LOVE LOVE the Die Hard movies, ( my favourote exploding thinsg films thank you very much!) Fifth element was a bit cheesy but brilliant although its not Willis that is brilliant. Hudson HAwk, I enjoyed that. Oh moonlighting he actually has hair in that, that was good. Then there is the one where h
Sixth sense, The whole nine yards or whatever it was called with mathew perry. His voice in Look who's talking and in over the hedge really made those films... Im not that much of a fan of unbreakable, I think it was one of Night's less interesting films I much preffer the Village, Sixth Sense, and teh woman in the water.. Lucky number Slezen, and he was pretty good in friends too... Twelve monkeys...Blind date has its funny moments too..

So yeah just a wee bit of a fan!

I love "The Fifth Element" and "Sixth Sense." While I love Bruce Willis, I can acknowledge he's not a great actor, but he did a fine job in "Sixth Sense," and as for his other movies, I think that is absolutely why I enjoy him, Scher. He does seem like he's having fun up there, doesn't he?

Die Hard 4 - purely because that was the real point where I realised he is not taking himself seriously any more and was just doing it for a laugh!! Almost a parody of himself!

Well when you get to number four it's got to be a parody.

I think Willis does a type very well, and is good at choosing roles that fit that type. See also Wayne, John.

I think Bruce Willis is wonderful at what he does. He's not a great actor, but he's in now way a bad one, either. He's good at being genuine in his roles . . . rarely does it seem like he's "phoning it in."

There's one movie, though, that he did where I think his acting does start stepping into "great" territory, and that is 12 Monkeys. His performance in that film is wonderful.
