Hello, Well, we got the cat some catnip, which he really likes and so does all the other cats on the block. He's kind of a depressed cat; so when ever he gets in a bad mood, we bring out the catnip. We also got him a cat shaped laser light. It throws a red glow that he liked to chase until he realized he could never catch it.

I've got a bad cold, so I'm watching movies all day. I watched the new Harry Potter movie, I was kind of disappointed.

The Harry Potter series had a big effect on me as well, I read the The Philosopher's Stone 164 times.

only thing i dont get is why games are rated like ma or whatever for violence.
like a guy on a chainsaw massacre. i know that all thru growin up idve laught at that.
or maybe ive just got a little gore factor.

I like playing battle games: star wars, indiana jones and when I feel stressed: mortal combat and grand theft. I think it's all about making the division between what our fantasies are and what reality is. The reason chainsaw is not frightening to you is because you realize it isn't real; or even with some true life based stories: you can avoid them or they aren't happening to you.
It's a decision each parent has to make. I always let my daughter check out books and movies that were mature; I'd review the books and watch the movies with her. Then we'd discuss the points in the movie and real life, what is expected in society.
I think the problem with life now is that people don't have time to have such discussions with their children, or they don't start early enough. Parents try to get a rapport with their children when they are 12 or 13, it's too late at that point. A parent needs to start developing a rapport with their children before the children go out into the world, have other exposures and realize that adults are fallable and sometimes, not as intelligent as their children.
Well, that's my thoughts anyway.

Ah, the games transfix me. It's odd, when my daughter was growing up my friends and her teachers were always telling me I gave her too much intellectual freedom (I was overprotective about her going places; but we live in a rough neighborhood). I don't like slasher movies and gore; but I like real life crime movies and shows like CSI and Criminal Minds and forensic stuff.
Jessica likes Japanese horror like The Grudge; but those scare me to death with those creepy little kids. Yeah, your mom seems really cool. It's great that you like your parents, no really. You know, you can love people but you don't always like them. When I was young, I liked my mom most of the time; but she got really wierd when I got about 15. I had all sorts of freedom and then when I started looking grown up, they started giving me curfews. My dad was old school, spank the kids until they leave home. He actually took a belt to my sister when she was 23. My mom would go after the kids with a broom. I guess that's how I raised my daughter; changing everything I thought they did wrong.

i like some blood and guts movies. i cant stand those fighting ones where they always have to have the last say b4 peltin each other. i like sweeny todd. that type of blood and guts.
my mum is awesome. she listens to the stupid rubbish i come up w.
my dad gave me freedom wen i was litttle, now, nope. he uesd to let me do that fun stuff, like the first time i really tasted chocolate w him. we used to have a kite. he let me ride the trolley the unsafe way, but the fun way. i suppose that stuff has changed now that, yea, i dont really want to ride the trolley the dangerous way.
one of the perils of growing up. i dont exactly seem 13 half the time. my mum is letting me go a bit though. but to a reasonable limit.
my mum raises me different. she treas me like a queen. i suppose i dont feel to great about that, but if its what she wants. and im just lazy.

Yes, I really liked Sweeny Todd, though I like most anything with Johnny Depp...I never watched the really early stuff. Your dad seems really cool, too. How do you ride a trolley the unsafe way; we don't have trolleys here, except in San Francisco and New Orleans. Jessica and I always looked young for our age; she looked 14 until she was in her mid-20's. I looked really young, too. I was 21 when Jessica was born and had been married almost 3 years; but people used to give me dirty looks because I looked so young they thought I was a teenage, unwed mother. You are beautiful, like your mother, and look quite a bit older than your age...I think you look at least 16/17. I guess being the mother of a daughter who looks older and acts older might be a bit of a challange.

my dads alright. of course, letting a three year old stand on the back of a trolley he is attempting to powerslide w can be dangerous.

of course, being me (no kidding) my mum isnt as worried about letting me do things. i mean, i at least look like I can bash someone. A smaller, more frail girl would have a lot more troubles.
17? My dad's uncle has spent the past four years asking me when I'm going to get married.
I act older on occasions. I mean, I'm in a religious group at school. I'm in year nine and every other member is in year twelve. It is useful sometimes, but inconvenient others. I wanted to do debating with school. I was the only one in my year level intereseted, again, the other were pretty much all year 12s. The idea was they stay back after school to prepare our speeches, then we go and eat at the local shopping centre, then back to school, on the bus, and to the debating school. Of course, these kids are grown up, and yea, sure, they quite often go out to the shops. I mean, it would be safe, a group of six, not little kids. The responsible young adults, these ones are, I mean, religious groups and debating, what more could my parents want me involved in?
It makes sense they wont let me, because I am young. I would've liked the debating though.
Eh, maybe next year.

Your dad sounds really cool/a little adverturous. You are a nice size; but you do look like you are self assured and could take care of yourself. I was in some advanced classes when I was 15, I had finished my highschool curriculem early. Of course, the older students had alot of freedom and some were even older than 17 or 18; because they had returned to school. I occasionally cut class to go to the beach or out with them.
The lies really got difficult to cover. My mom picked me up from school and I would go off with the kids in their cars, hang out at the beach, sometimes strip down to my underclothes to go swimming, and show back up to school with sand in my shoes, messy air dryed hair, and partially wet clothes. Other times, I would skip and walk all the way to my neighborhood; then walk back before it was time for my mom to pick me up.
One day, she caught me walking back to school. She was livid. It seemed odd to me that she was more upset about being put out by taking and picking me up from school and didn't really seem interested in what I had been doing...that is, until I started skipping class to see a boyfriend.
It was funny. This boy had a crush on me and constantly visited my house. I thought he was really dumb and he was 19 years old. My mom kept bugging me to be nice to him and he was always around the house. One day, his friend, my boyfriend dumped me and he just seemed there as a shoulder to cry on.
My mom always let me go out with him and it was one of the only ways to keep from that clostrophobic house. There wasn't much to do; but we hung with the other kids in the neighborhood and I spent alot of time with his family; they were very close and good to me. In a few months I decided I would marry him...then my mother went balistic.

Yes, it is unfortunate that the debate team is so much older than you; I think you'd be wonderful on the debate team. It's wonderful to be a genius; but it is a real drag socially. I guess the thing about religious kids, is that when they pair up, they are much like nonchristian kids. My mother was always pushing me to date boys from our church: one night, this boy I did not like at all took me to the beach...we were supposed to go get something to eat. He suddenly claimed his car broke down. I lifted the hood of the car and found he had disconnected some of the cables. I told him to either connect them or I was calling the pastor...you better believe he fixed them. I told my mother that I wasn't dating anymore of her church friends perverted sons; the kids at school might read Karl Marx and smoke pot; but they didn't try to attack me
