And I bet you wish you still didn't. He's one of those artists that is definitely better heard than seen.

I like this song, Papaya. Robin Hitchcock has always been one of those artists that I thought I would like if I ever took the time to listen and now I know I was right. 9/10

A music critic I know nailed the problem I have with The Beautiful South. He said, "They're just so f**king moral, aren't they?" He's right. It's like being sung to by The Guardian's editorial desk.

The metaphor is a little trite in Tracy's hands (Admittedly, it's a pretty stale trope to begin with). Great voice though. 6.5/10

The Curtis Mayfield influence is rather overt, but they get it pretty right. 7.5/10.

I liked that quite a bit. I don't know why I've never listened to Wilco more, I've loved everything I've ever heard them do. 9/10

I almost like it...I want to like it...I think if I only listened to one song at a time I could like it. The yelling is a little jarring but other than the yelling, I could really like that song. I don't know, I'm torn, I'll just play it safe and give it a 6/10.
