    An interview with Jozanny:

Why are we doing this interview thing?
For fun, to annoy myself and yield to the sentiment that I belong to the LitNet family now, after all

Are you sure you want to do this?
Uh, yeah, why, are there consequences?

    Are you male or female?
    female

What is your name (if you don't mind sharing it with us)?
    Joanne Marinelli

    Got milk?
    It upsets my tummy.

Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar?
    A mysterious warlock

If you had a personal theme song what would it be?
The First Time, by Roberta Flack

What makes you keep coming back to the Forum?
Primarily my mood disorder, but there are few communities elsewhere that are not geared toward a more specific focus.

It has been a year since the last interview. What have been the high and low points?
high point: the building renovations are over
low point: I am single again

The best and worst books you have read during last year?
Ouch, toughie. The best is The Turn of The Screw, by Henry James.
The worst: By Reason of Insanity by Randy Singer.

The biggest surprises of the past year (both pleasant and unpleasant)?
That the building renovations were so bad. I mean it was worse than even I could have imagined, but I got through it.

Have you studied literature as a subject in college?
Yes, with a minor in creative writing and journalism.

Do you feel the divine spark of life within you or do you consider yourself a mechanical thing?
Well, when you put it that way I opt for the former

Do you have any pets? What are their names?
My cats, Joey and Vinnie. They will be four in March I think.

Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
    A lioness

How did you meet your significant other?
    Don't remind me!

What is the one thing you must do before you die?
Make it to Italy and back in one piece.

    Do you believe in ghosts?
    Yes.

What song is in your head at the moment?
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.

Which book are you reading at the moment?
The Damnation of Theron Ware, among others, but let's stick with that.

What type of an author would you be?
I actually am an author, so LitNet is lucky to have someone of my stature among its ranks. You may call me pompous.

The last book you finished reading?
    The Great Impersonation

What are you wearing at the moment?
    Nothing.

    Favorite TV shows?
    House

Which LitNet members would you like to meet in person if you could?
    stlukesguild, sixsmith

Anything in the forum book club that I am participating in.

    What's your favourite sound?
    a violin crying

    Last food did you have?
    meatballs and fettucini

Last words you said out loud?
    Not printable

    Last person you hugged/kissed?
I think my uncle, when he came to help me pack.

What question would you like to ask yourself?
    Why can't I be harder?

What should you be doing at the moment instead of answering these questions?
Balancing my checking account and my next writing project.

    Last dream you remember having?
I was driving along a lane of fallen leaves, like back in my fieldword days.

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?
    Fight with my mother.

If you had to lose one of your senses, which would you choose and why?
Hearing, because some peace and quiet would be nice.

Are you mostly happy with life or are you still in pursuit?
    I've reached acceptance.

How often do you tell lies?
    Often

    What gives your life meaning?
The best the fine arts have to offer.

If you were a colour, what colour would you be and why?
lavender, since it is a tad less mild than pink.

    What makes you laugh?
    my cats

What was the happiest period of your life and why?
university, because I thrived at school.

One thing you would like to do before your next birthday?
    Sell my next article.

What will you be doing in the year 2035?
If I am not dead, probably in a group home.

Did you answer all of the question?
No, you stumped me on a few.

One final word of wisdom for LitNet users?
    Being unkind hurts yourself.

What would you like to ask to the person to be interviewed after you?
Are these things too long, or what?

Happy healthy birthday, Jozanny. I enjoyed your interview and look forward to the next one

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.
