Are you referring to the infamous Janet Cooke articles from the Washington Post around 1980 about a missing kid? She won a Pulitzer even though it had been rumored to be fake. Thereafter, it's fallacy was confirmed. There was also one in the NY Times about 3 years ago but I forgot the writer's name.

I think he's looking for an article that contains a logical fallacy, like argumentum ad populum.
Find something related to the equal treatment of animals. Hone in on someone saying something about animals suffering. Any kind of appeal to emotion or appeal to pity. Besides, if God hadn't wanted us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them so delicious.
That's all I can think of, and I don't feel like doing your assignment for you.

I kept looking, forcing myself not to blink, and then the brightness began to dissolve. My pupils shrunk to pinholes and everything came into focus and for a moment I understood.
