It has been a year since the last interview. What have been the high and low points?
High Point: My daughter’s marriage. Low Point: my attempted suicide
The best and worst books you have read during last year?
Best: The Children of Sherlock Holmes… Worst: From the Listening Hills
The biggest surprises of the past year (both pleasant and unpleasant)?
Pleasant: My son made it to the Nationals at FFA finals
Unpleasant: I had to go in the hospital again, which lost me my right to own a gun—that was the horrible surprise
What has been the biggest change in your life since your last birthday?
I think I’m more cynical and more uptight
Do you feel comfortable in your walk with God/atheism?
I feel comfortable with my walk with Jesus Christ
Given the option, what animal would you choose to be?
Probably a wolf
How did you meet your significant other?
We went to school and graduated together
What is the one thing you must do before you die?
Write up some stories that are on my mind and look for a publisher
Do you believe in ghosts?
Well, I believe there are things out there that one cannot explain—are they ghosts or not, I don’t pretend to know
What is your role in an emergency situation: the 911 dialer, the person who runs to the scene to help, the video recorder, or the person too overcome by shock to do anything?
I’d like to think I’d keep a cool head and try to help but I might be frozen by the shock of it all

Dreamed I was back in school for the millionth time. Sigh.

Finding out a book I’d just bought was the same as another differently titled book already on my shelf. Talk about pissed at the author/publisher!

Hummmm… Don’t really have a best friend outside of Martha, my wife—I’m a bit of a hermit, what with my illness and all

Hummm… touch. I really need the others

LOL. I’ll always be in pursuit

I’d like to say never but I’d be lying again

Twenties, had a lot going right back then. If I could, I go back to that age and time

LOL. Goofy, I suppose, fits me best
Do those animated smilies ever get tired? Think of them day after day, dancing or crashing computers or laughing or crying till the end of time... Nah, gotta love them

Don’t have much time, it’s the 24th…Get a story written, I hope
