    myopic

    nearsighted people
    focus on former bliss
    dismissing
    bad balancing good

    farsighted people
    wince at burdensome flashbacks
    of memorial nightmares
    needing an alarm

    unfinished people
    miss reliving
    the present
    while living
    their past

A very distinct view of the way life really is
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

Good insights. I've sometimes thought that Socrates' "The unexamined life is not worth living" needed a corollary, i.e. The over-examined life leaves no time for living it.
