That's sad. I'll have to record the movie for you, then.

Aw, poor Anna... she's being ignored by her teachers... how mean they can be, can't they? I'll tell you what, see the teachers over there? Go through their backs and do this

, and after that do this

, but remember not to let them see you, because if they do, this is what will happen:
Speak for yourself! I am not ignoring her. Annamariah is a lovely young women with tons of drawing talent. Do you hear that, A? Keep on drawing, because I love your delicate work. Oh, I see now, you mean her teachers are ignoring her. I was wondering where you found these hysterical emoticons (?). I like the.... "Aww, that crocodile-smile was great!" too, Anna. These are all very expressive.
Now you may well believe I'm totally insane... well lemme tell ya.... I AM
That's no understatement...
HERE I AM
Who could miss you? haha...you make so much noise....
Lit Net is free therapy, not like those therapists that call 40 min an hour

. I can give you professional advice for the cost of nothing, so where will you be better, uh?
Oh, I've known that for sometime. I get all those great endorphins/seritonin floating around in my brain, from all this laughter. After about 5 mins of reading your posts, Max, I am feeling quite well. In reality, I have been to councelors and they only depress me more, at times. Now they should take a cue and employ some laugh therapy. I was at Lynne's house the other night and we laughed our heads off so much, I felt great; healthy as can be. There really is something to it! so.....
!!!
Having sense is no fun at all
Yes, that is rather true!
Do write something!
Wait, where am I suppose to 'write something?'
I have the same habit, that's why I prefer full featured DVDs, like the special 2-Disc edition I have of "The Last Samurai"
Good movie; I really liked it a lot. You have good taste in films. I am too curious not to watch all the extra features...I want to be fully informed.
The epilogue for "Prison Break", that one titled "The Final Break". I don't like TV Shows coming to an end, much less when one fave character dies a tragic death, though he dies for love. Self-sacrifice is something I agree with, though I'd prefer a "happily ever after" ending every now and then. SO I feel so sad that the day doesn't seem to be getting any clearer
Oh, it's a TV show? I hardly ever watch TV. I need cable hooked up to my own TV upstairs. My son keeps promising he will do it. I will probably be on my death bed when he gets to it. So, you're one of those happily ever after guys...hummm.....You would have hated the film I watched last night...Woody Allen's new one - Vicky Cristina Barcelona.....hey, do you look anything like Javier Bordem?
...he's hot!
YES, "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Letters from Iwo Jima"
Truely great movies! Clint does it again.
I bet you won't go to bed yet... YOU LIT NET ADDICT
*Ding* Correct Answer! But more like YOU MOVIE ADDICT last night. After the Allen film, at 12AM, I started watching Casablanca....is that a wonderful 'classic' film or what? Gets better everytime I see it. Extra Features, I left till tonight.
Here's lookin' at you kid!.....

There's one big flaw in your plan, though. If I could find the teachers to actually be able to make faces behind their backs, I wouldn't have this problem to begin with

I hate those evasive teachers, do they have some kind of "a student is looking for me, have to go to another direction" radar to make sure no one ever finds them when they have got some important things to discuss?
My dear Anna, you are a Valkyrie remember? Whenever they try to dodge you just rip them in two halves like this
, or you can try something more contemporary like this:
See? You can even intercept them with style

Yes, it's one of Fox's latest series. I don't watch that much TV either, but when I find a commendable series I just need to have it. TV series have the benefit of having more time to develop the details of a story. I'm one of those addicts to the seventh art and the like

Nah! I'm not that hot... though I can burn... given the proper temp!
I look more like an ancient warrior marked by the scars of many battles ....
Actually I don't pretend every finale to be a happy one, but lately most shows that I learned to love have ended in a sad way and it's getting rather like too much for my poor heart.... it's this feeling of having something stuck in the throat...

Here's lookin' at you kid!.....

So you had a movie night with a classic. Last night I had a date with a classic too. I watched the first episode of "Airwolf" (a classical TV series of the 80s) which reminded me of a good time of my childhood. Back then, when I was a kid, it was broadcasted here on Saturday nights and I had never seen these episodes since then. Now I'm getting the whole seasons on DVD, which is the best option always, especially with classics hardly ever broadcasted nowadays

The only problem is that a dead teacher is not a very good teacher, and I need some good teachers to pass my courses and graduate. Paralyzing them just might work, though, they would still be able to teach, but their days of running away would be over

Or maybe I can send you some pics via PM
Just don't expect anything too fancy! Just some plain pencil sketches.

Annamariah, you are too humble and modest. I love your sensitive drawings so much. Don't ever think that they are 'just drawings or sketches'. Michelangelo and Leonardo Davinci both did extraordinary drawings. I happen to see some at the National Museum in Washington years ago. I was so entranced with the technique of delicate pencil line; so very impressive. I think you have have great skill seriously. I have had a art college education and much more time to practice my craft. You have lots of time to develop yours. Don't abandon it as I have in recent years. I hope you can pursue art in some form because you are young and it's wonderful to have talent.

This is why I suggested to shoot sedative darts at them on the "School Bells" thread. Now I have it all figured at a body count of zero. No casualties at all, just prisoners

Oh yes, this is very much more than true. I remember what Leonardo used to reply when he was asked what he was doing, when he was doing nothing (visibly
) but staring at some form of material. He used to say "I am working"... and after some time people stared in wonder at the marvels he created. Who knows? We may have a gifted creator in our Anna
Anna, if you found you have a talent, then don't let it go. If you do, you will regret one day. It has happened to people I know, and they regret.

Oh yeah, I got side-tracked again and volunteered to be casting director in DanielBenoit's new Shakespeare Youtube production. Hey, Max, you are a ham, how bout joining in? If you don't have a video camera you can just recite you voice playing a role. I am casting director so I can find you a good part. We will make our own beautiful music (movie) together.
But seriously, I need to write up about 10 movies I have seen lately which were truly great. Right now I am watching this cool documentary on James Dean, directed by Robert Altman. Funny, I picked this cheap DVD up a long time ago, for a dollar, and it's really good. The-made-for-TV film, preceeding the documentary, was fairly good, but dated; but this b/w documentary is truly intriguing. What prompted all this was my recent viewing of East of Eden. It was incredible; ever see the film? I will get to writing them up next week. I am still not caught up on some very important email replies, which have to come first.

Oh, I love long productions. I meant to ask you if you ever saw the miniseries Shackleton - about the Antarctic explorer. I love that series and researched extensively the real man and have read several books on him. He meet his ship in Buenos Aires; is that anywhere near where you live, Max? I am greatly interesting in that part of the world, especially since it's so close to Antarctica. I just bought the great nature film March of the Penquins, too. When I looked at my globe the other night I just realised how far south Argentina really was...wow, that is so cool!

There really are a lot of open-ended shows of recent and they tend to leave a person with an uneasy feeling...they can be unsettling when watched right before bedtime, even sort of disturbing. I find I wake up thinking about the meaning of the ending. Those type endings are great and real and all but sometimes happy ending are more satisfying.

Yes, indeed those pieces of art by Annamariah are wonderfully rendered. I think her style is reminescent of Ingres work...hope I spelled that correctly. I love his work and have a book of his portrait drawings...simply stunning and lovely imagery.

Probably the screensaver is incompatible with your Vista. There are programs that were written for XP but somehow Vista can't run them properly, so I don't really think it has to do with your browser but more with the Operating System.

I would love to be an actor, but I have two problems. One is that I've never recited nor acted, so I have no acting background to support a career on Youtube
Besides that, my voice sounds terrible on microphones (it actually sucks

I'm not an expert in art, nor am I anywhere near to understand it completely, but I do like watching. I can stare in wonder for several minutes. I believe there's a chance to like something without a full understanding

Shackleton starring Kenneth Branagh? No, I haven't seen it yet. I'll have to add it to my list. I live in a city located some 622 miles to the west of Buenos Aires, quite a distance I must say. Buenos Aires is the place by the sea and my place is the one by the mountains

Oh yes, TV producers want us to think a lot, to analyze the message they intend to give, and hopefully to find something in ourselves through the story.

The plot for Airwolf is more or less like this: It's the story of an advanced combat helicopter developed by a secret agency for special missions. Its creator prefers to use it for personal benefit though, so the government hires another pilot to recover it from its wayward inventor but he has conditions, that is, to work for the government in special missions piloting the chopper while the government must pull some strings in order to find his brother, missing in action during the Vietnam war where they both served. It was a very advanced/original action series for the time, created by Donald P. Bellisario, and I think it somewhat opened the gates for the action/sci-fi shows of today. Jean Michael Vincent, Alex Cord and Ernest Borgnine were the main stars. The great Sylvester Levay was in charge of the soundtrack.
House IS A MUST. A top-notch cast for a top-quality show

Now that I am thinking about it, it may have been on my other computer which did have XP. It could possibly work on this one, now that I have waaaayy more RAM. It was the coolest thing; ancient building facade that would break into pieces/transform/morph. I loved it, but it would not work consistently. I may have deleted some part of the program and that kept it form operating fully.

It's a cool idea, huh? I am of the same mindset. I hate hearing my voice on video; I can't recite or read aloud to an audience; I certainly can't act. I was in my HS school play; got second understudy. Long story, but I would prefer to stay in the chorus...as I said, I can't act. I never was fated to be a superstar; too shy that way; stage-fright bigtime. "support a career on Youtube"?...haha...do they have careers on Youtube??? good one!
I found three "East of Eden" productions on IMDb, one dated 1955, another in 1981 and another in 2008? Which ones have you seen? I'll be waiting for your reviews, so remember to tell me when you have the time to post them
Thee classic one of 1955 staring the amazing shortly realised talent of James Dean, who tragically died in a car crash at age 24. This Steinbeck movie adaptation's wonderful. You MUST see it....a Caine and Able story. I loved it!
That's just a preview of my coming review...stay tuned to Movie thread...
I'll take a dive in your galleries
Sounds provocative....hummm...come up and see my etchings sometime....
I'm not an expert in art, nor am I anywhere near to understand it completely, but I do like watching. I can stare in wonder for several minutes. I believe there's a chance to like something without a full understanding
[/QUOTE] Thanks for taking a peek. Hope something in there delights you.
Shackleton starring Kenneth Branagh?
Oh, yes um. He's my favorite actor. I collect all his films and his screenplay books and anything else I can locate. I also have a channel page on Youtube dedicated to him but with playlists encompassing a lot more. Shackleton is a must-see. It's an amazing story and totally true. I have researched it and the real story is even more amazing and hard to believe. Let me know when you will watch it and I will rewatch here, too. I own the 3 disk set....great stuff!
No, I haven't seen it yet. I'll have to add it to my list. I live in a city located some 622 miles to the west of Buenos Aires, quite a distance I must say. Buenos Aires is the place by the sea and my place is the one by the mountains
His crew went ahead of him and he meet them a week or so later in Buenos Aires. Ever since then it has had this allure for me; also South Georgia Island must be amazing to see. Mountains are nice to live by though. I bet your area is beautiful.
I feel I've watched March of the Penguins.... is it a BBC documentary?
Not sure if it's BBC; but it's the documentary that came out a couple of years ago; believe the film makers were French. Even the 'making of the film' is amazing (included on the disk).
ditto!
I'm much skinnier than a gladiator

and the scars are more internal than external
Skinny is good but down nearer to the antarctic one would think you need a little padding to stay warm. I figured those were internal wounds; probably in the heart area.
Oh yes, TV producers want us to think a lot, to analyze the message they intend to give, and hopefully to find something in ourselves through the story.
Yep, so true...
The plot for
Airwolf is more or less like this: It's the story of an advanced combat helicopter .....gates for the action/sci-fi shows of today. Jean Michael Vincent, Alex Cord and Ernest Borgnine were the main stars. The great Sylvester Levay was in charge of the soundtrack.
Thanks for the synopsis. That does sound different and intriguing. I will check that out on Youtube. Wow, Ernest Borgnine was in that...I thought you were too young to watch his old shows. Is he still alive? I collect sound tracks. I wonder if you can get Levay's work on CD's. I will check that out, too.
House IS A MUST. A top-notch cast for a top-quality show
Laurie makes the show. He's an amazing actor. I loved him in everything I have seen him in. He was in the Kenneth Branagh group of friends; actually Emma Thompson's friends. He's in Ken's film Peter's Friends. Hugh L is very talented. Of course, what really cracks me up about Dr House is that he nearly kills off the patient, right before he saves them...happens everytime. He sure uses the defibulators enough, doesn't he?
Thank you for waiting

Tell your mom that I can relate.
You mean Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, the French neoclassical painter? I read he was a specialist in portraits
You get an A plus for art history - very good! Did you look that one up online? maybe Wikipedia. I am onto you now.
Yes, portraits were his thing. His drawing are luminous.

You know, everyone thinks they sound awful on microphones (or if they hear their own voice recorded), because in one's head their own voice always sound different than it does to everyone else around them. I don't like my real voice at all either
House is the best! It's one of my favourite tv-series

Anna, but apparently, this time it's Jack Sparrow with two misses and no rival male! We have been having a great time on this pirate ship lately....very entertaining....Max is as crazy, too as Captain Jack!
