Gee thanks, Quark, how did you read my mind? I guess I was whinning a bit, eh? I just think coming off a long one now in L I am not prepared to attempt another long one right away but keep it on the back burner - maybe we could do that one in the summer - what do you think? It is a fine story. Hope you get the CD set soon. Let me know. Oh guess what. I saw saw some stills and some excerpts from the Ivanov play with Kenneth Branagh on Youtube. I will have to send you the Ivanov videos and discussion links - rather interesting. I would love to read that play someday. Ever read it?
I read the play, too about 3 yrs ago. I will read it again once the discussion begins or just prior to that. I won't read another novel in January, so I can dedicate myself to the Shakespeare thread entirely this time. So you will be posting too, and I do hope Virgil does as well - he voted for the play and was pushing it, so I assume he intends to discuss it. I think this one will be a good discussion then...at least we can be steady and post regularly. I do love Shakespeare - I was just getting a little jaded, like you pointed out.Oh, who knows? I haven't seen many of these people posting on there now. I can't say whether they will get involved or not. I just meant that with you and I, and possibly Virgil, all posting it might do better than past discussions. If it doesn't, it won't really bother me. I've already read the play, so there isn't much work I have to do for the discussion.

Quark,...you are 'simplistic' minded! (note: I did not 'simple' haha). Glad those nice mods changed it. I do think it appropriate to be called 'Chekhov Short Story Thread' since that draws so many to this thread (oh yeah, thousands
, they are beating down the door). Hey, Quark, I am here now and you and possibly Dark Muse. It only really takes two, three to discuss a story if others can't make it one month. At least, we can keep the thread going. Lately, it had been falling into obscurity again. Gladys and I had a discussion (just the two of us) on a Ibsen play and it was quite good and in-depth. It just takes two for any discussion to take place; of course, more participants is better, but not always feasible because of school work and exams, etc.
