Girls, why are we cling to the bad boys? Why good ones seem boring...
Maybe because they make us ourselves feel good? While with good boys you sometimes feel you yourself are being the cause of all trouble... OK, that sounds very egocentric
It all depends on the definition of "bad boy"Sometimes the bad attitude is really too much, and I would take a good boy over it any day

I'm gonna quote Anne Shirley from Mongomery's 'Anne of Green Gables'
In her discussion with Marilla Cuthbert about Diana Barry's betrothal to Fred Wright, Anne said
"Roly poly Fred Wright?!"
Marilla:"What's wrong with Fred Wright?"
Anne: "Well, nothing. He's just so...GOOD"
Marilla: "Would you want to marry a wicked man?"
Anne: "No. I think I would like it if he could be wicked, but wouldn't"
I think that, in a nutshell, that's most of us ladies.
We like that a guy [I]could[I] be naughty, and perhaps even be a little naughty with us, but not too much...like not bad enough to get in trouble with the law..lol
Yes Niamh, today, April 16th makes it 79 more days! Yikes...but I am ready for this, and we're so in love with eachother!

Wow, I totally forgot about that part (in Anna of Green Gables)! Thanks for reminding Tournesol - that's the point in a nutshell indeed![]()

Not here... I like goody-two shoe types (hence my preference of Superman over Batman).
However, I have friends who always end up with guys we could describe as "no good". After many times watching the same thing over and over again, I think it is more to do with the self-confidence level of the girl. I am aware that it is a very superficial remark (a little paperback psychology?) but more confident women usually are more demanding and expectant when it comes to relationships.

bad boys have a certain appeal, but I don't enjoy getting treated like crap. A pseudo-bad boy would be good - someone with a wild side and a sensitive side. Too much sensitivity is also a turn off. I guess it depends on how you define "bad."
"...if you weren't smart enough to get a pedophile in a dress to put a small amount of water on the child’s forehead, then what the eff did you think was going to happen?
Now you see, i'd go for batman because hes more tall dark and mysterious than a bad boy...

My boyfriend is a reformed bad-boy.. He used to be right bad, too... but he always was a perfect gentleman, and opened doors for me, pulled out chairs, escorted me down the street, etc. It was just his lifestyle choices that made him a bad-boy...
.
Naked except for a cigarette, you let your mind drift and forget your disbelief. Feel the chill down your back and the flutter of wings through dandelion fields, and forget the pull of gravity in a night without stars.
I lack eloquence and commitment to my arguments. They are half baked, and I will begin passionately, and then abandon them.
Sometimes the good boys can have too much of the feminine in them. They can seem too much like girls.
Good boys can also smother a woman in a relationship. I don't want to be treated badly, so while I can find the bad boys attractive, I married one that more good than bad, but I do need time to myself. Down time from the relationship. Just a few hours a day or a day or two now and then. I don't like constant attention and gifts, or even daily "I love yous." I know he loves me. If he tells me ten times a day, it'd be like he's trying to convince himself.
Good for you!I have to say though: guys that open doors for me or pull out chairs... they give me the creeps
There is just something in me which makes me wanna run towards the door and get there first, or wonder whether he might draw that chair away from me the moment I try to sit down... Not sure, but for some reason I like to have control over those things myself
I also feel kinda awkward that they are doing such for me and not me for them...
And yes, not too much "I love you" please! My heart will stop every time it is said so unless the guy wants to kill me he should really be carefulNot sure whether that is a good guy or bad guy thing though - bad guys can be pretty slick with words... And giving a girl time for herself, not sure whether that is good guy or bad guy behaviour either. I just know it is good boyfriend behaviour

Oh, got one of those at home so no need for Batman!
*blinks*
I think we need to define what *good boy* as well, then... I don't think good boys are "sissies".
I don't have any rules about expressing feelings... Sometimes hearing it makes one feel good and even 10 times a day does not feel enough. Or, if one feels it, why not say it (or if one does not feel it, why feel obliged to say it?)? I usually prefer to be guided by my mood and feelings rather than sticking by so-called rules.
