I have a computer chess program and I used to play. I should try it again.

It's a wonderful pastime to be with friends! Tough thing to play with married friends, though ... It seems a wife takes all your time. Only, perhaps, if you get a friend who has a wife, so she can be chitchat'ring, while the guys play.
    Yes a wife changes everything.

Or get a girl who likes to play. In certain couples, though, it seems not to quite work out ... I don't know, there's something about women & chess that I could not yet quite figure out what is ...
I have never met a woman that plays. Not sure why. I'm sure they're out there.

[Possibly it's the relation with war. Men make play wars since he's a kid, and there's no home in chess. Only battlefield. Thoughts, thoughts ...]

I have tried playing this once, but did not survive long. I love playing regular chess, and have done so since childhood, yet could not grasp this as naturally as I felt I did with chess - I like looking at it, though - very innovative!

If Madhuri looses, it means she plays ... Now, remains the question: does she exist?

    (I'm kidding Madhy)

straight ahead. The squares may be a bit bend, but they're still squares, side to side Pawns move ahead. Nothing's changed

Yes, the place where I played it, an old rickety building selling cigars, magazines, and liquor, had a few for sale - a bit on the spendy side, as someone made it by hand, but for sale, nonetheless.

    Of course women play chess.

Anna Zatonskih and Rusudan Goletiani, both of whom I have met. Though they probably don't remember me. But I played them casual chess.

I like chess as well... it is great... though I am not very good. I should practice/play more...

I like finding old, hand made wood boards as well... My dad has this amazing chess board and set.

does anyone play backgammon as well? I still don't get the rules really...
