Yep, we better get photos Sprinks!

I'm guessing this is what we North Americans call prom? The big fancy dinner and dance that goes with graduating from high school?

Mine was a good time. I went to a horse show the next day

You'll have so much fun Sprinks! Getting ready for it is half the fun!
I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?

I reckon its the same as a prom...

There's one of my friends... actually a few... that are all guys, that keep referring to it as a prom. Anyone near them just turns around and hits them . It's the Australian equivalent of a prom, yeah. We graduate in November. We also have a kind of Year 10 formal, because (back in the day) people could drop out in Year 10 if they so wished (things have changed). So they'd do a "formal" as a kind of ball opportunity for those people, only it was never as big as the ball. We had a Year 10 formal, but the school didn't like it, because they didn't want to encourage to people to think that way, like "Oh I've had a ball type thing, I can get a job and leave school now".

The only thing that sucks is that my knees are bad enough, and I'm wearing heels! . Then, I'm meant to DANCE in these heels! I feel bad for my partner, as I won't be able to do it. It's too dangerous. However, he has known me 6 years and knows all about my condition, so he'll have to deal with it.

Can't you go with flats and forget the heels if it's that bad? Or is your dress too long to be worn without?

Well no shoes that are flat go with the dress. It's hard to find purple shoes in general! Besides, they look amazing . I'll be able to do some dancing, just not like crazy dances with lots of jumping and moving etc

Just ditch the shoes as soon as you hit the dance floor, Sprinks! That's what we did.

See if you can get a wedge heel. They'll give you height and are so much more comfortable than stillettos.

that was my plan! But I think a few of my friends have some issue with that...

But I love my shoes! They're really pretty . I'll just deal with it, my partner annoys the heck out of me anywho, so I don't mind dancing with other people that are a little less annoying and more willing to be relaxed and not mind if I can't dance the exact steps!

    Exact steps?

I can honestly say, that I have never known the exact steps to any dance - and it never stopped me from having a good time.
On the other hand, I never went to a ball like that - so I guess I can't really make a stand on that subject

About the shoes: that is often the promblem, they're so pretty! Your mind just focusses on appearance, instead of comfort

Just go for it and have the time of your life! I am sure it will all work out

In the mean time... have some coffee

Ooo...I can't wait to see it!

Sprinks, don't worry, once you're in the dance floor, heels won't bother you as much as when walking.I personally found dancing twist and ronck n' roll much easier and fun with heels. And I am officially a heel-hater!

Agreed, Remarkable, some thing are easier in heels.

    I'm a self-proclaimed heel lover though!
