It's too Oceans, I think. Quite cheesy in a way though some scenes are quite funny.

Burn After Reading was funny, but had very, VERY dark humor. Definately something that only a few mindsets would get a good laugh out of.

Nope. But the premise evokes so many interesting themes and the film is basically a romantic comedy. Why do you ask?

He started off with a few good films but then churned out an amazing heap of crap. The Assassination of Jesse James is one of the finest films made over the last few years though.

    Tony Manero 10/10

See this extremely low budget chilean film about a die-hard Saturday Night Fever fan under Pinochet's dictatorship. The screenplay, acting and directing are all brilliant.

That sounds really interesting. Are you familiar with Isabelle Alliende's books?

From Chile? She must be a fine looking girl, i am sure..i have a notion that all latin americans are that way and are incredibly kind hearted friendly and nice
What got me interested in Alliende at the first time was her family history (mainly her ungle). Chile has a very interesting and sad history. Her books are a bit sentimental (and to my experience so far that makes them popular among women) but they are very interesting and very well written and there's always the historical background..i'd recommend "Of Love and Shadows" and "The House of the Spirits" for starters..and if you like those you could also try "Paula" and "Eva Luna". I have read most of her books but these were my favourites.

    So true. It was pointless!

    The other Boleyn girl

I'm pretty sure there were historical inaccuracies (but I can't be bothered with checking them. Natalie Portman was, I think, very good. But the rest of the actors...meh...5/10

Prince Caspian. I liked it, the way it was shot, location and in general the acting. It was more grown up than Narnia.

Just got back from seeing The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei. I predict it will get Best Picture. It's that good.

Last night, I watched a French film called Angel-A, directed by Luc Besson. I loved the visual effects and aesthetics, and the use of black-and-white film seemed very film-noir, but I found the plot very cliche, predictable, and simple. I know several cliche plots can present as a parody, yet I could see no satirical element in the film - a few funny parts, here and there, but nothing special. Fair acting, good directing, poor writing; I gained very little, other than a small crush on Rie Rasmussen.
    Rating: 5/10.
