I wanted something... different... and then... I couldn't think of anything!! Then I was looking at icky photos of zombies from Resident Evil (one of my favourite films as a child!) and I recalled a thing in Canberra, when we went to Questacon and got fake injuries!! So... thats my new avatar... its as close to something original and Halloween-y as I could find

Ou, I put on some make up for this Halloween![]()
I love Halloween! In the name of keeping with my horse theme...
<-----
I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?
I had noticed everyone's avatars becoming a bit dark and scary, and then I found this thread, which explained it all. I'll join in with my favorite allegorical image of death.

Death from Ingmar Bergmans "Seventh Seal", if I am not mistaken.
Hmmm, have to find something for myself too, I guess...
I quite like this one though although I am not sure if I could use it as an avatar:
Still, I guess, something Lovecraftian would be nice.

If you believe even a half of this post, you are severely mistaken.
I finally changed mine, after photoshopping flames into the background![]()
If it's worth complaining about, it's completely worth doing yourself!
I changed mine from Lord Byron to Comte de Lautreamon (Isidore Ducasse):
You must fear this innocent-looking young man whose very young brain could pour forth such horrors as this:
One should let one's nails grow for a fortnight. Oh! How sweet it is to brutally snatch from his bed a child with no hair yet on his upper lip, and, with eyes wide open, to pretend to suavely stroke his forehead, brushing back his beautiful locks! Then, suddenly, at the moment when he least expects it, to sink one's long nails into his tender breast, being careful, though, not to kill him; for if he died, there would be no later viewing of his misery. Then, one drinks the blood, licking the wounds; and, during the entire procedure, which ought to last no shorter than an aeon, the boy cries. Nothing could be better than his blood, warm and just freshly squeezed out as I have described, if it weren't for his tears, bitter as salt...

"The farther he goes the more good it does me. I don’t want philosophies, tracts, dogmas, creeds, ways out, truths, answers, nothing from the bargain basement. He is the most courageous, remorseless writer going and the more he grinds my nose in the sh1t the more I am grateful to him..."
-- Harold Pinter on Samuel Beckett
Yeah i would be looking at him as normal from now on!
